My Dream
I dreamed of a baby pointing to its left hand. I didn’t know whose baby it was, or who it was for, or where it was. Then I turned around and found myself going through a tunnel with flashes of light, and at the end of it, there was a snake. The snake was beside me, curled up, moving, and pulling three eggs with it. That’s when I decided to paint my dream, because it was stuck in my head and I couldn’t shake it. I use seeds in the background because seeds bring new life and energy.
When I paint, it relieves me from the overload in my mind. I use it as therapy, to release the ideas that are stuck in my head. Painting is the only way I can connect to my home (Halls Creek) and Ngarrawanji Country because I live far away, in Bidyadanga.
