Connecting Springs-Murchison House Station to Kalbarri
Ku’arlu Mangga artist and Nhanda Elder Colleen Drage has been part of a revival of the traditional practice of making message sticks to communicate across time and space, and between people. As sculptural carvings on a scale to match the vast regions of Nhanda Country, these large message sticks represent the stories of significant places, of bush tucker and freshwater springs. The message sticks speak of the river, of life enjoyed by Nhanda people across the region and on the banks of the Murchison River.
