In 2025, Mildred discovered a book about the birds of her Country. She became very interested and started drawing them. The art centre provided her with ochre and paper to begin the series of beautiful, quirky birds which is still ongoing. She loves to explore the different birds and their behaviours and likes to show them in her very personal style that give each bird its own character.
